Our mission statement is to Develop Readers and Inspire Writers. We do this through developing a website, where children can read virtual book extracts from recently published books, interviews and advice from famous writers and illustrators and can send in their own work, be it stories, poems or drawings to be published on the website. There are hundreds of games and writing activities for children and young adults to engage with and the opportunity for them to give feedback on the site and on each-other's work.
Library authorities across the UK subscribe to the site which means that any child within that authority is automatically a member of Stories from the Web and can get at password and username to the site by visiting their local library. A current list of local authority members is here.
